BIRD CAGES FROM INDONESIA

There are many different kinds of bird cages to be found in Indonesia, that vary per region. In indonesia keeping birds has been a long part of national culture, as the vast Indonesian archipelago is home to a wide array of birds, with birdcages a common sight outside homes and shops across the country. Birds are valued pets and bird owners often come together to socialize and hear the birds sing.

In our collection we hold many bird cages from central Lombok which are often used to catch or lure little birds into the cage before it is closed.
These beautiful handmade cages are not truly fit for your own bird, since they are fairly small cages. However, they can be an amazing addition to your home decor.
